Once upon a time ...

The story of The Ski Lodge has always been one of a team and a family who share a passion for skiing and snowboarding and a deep personal dedication to the winter sports lifestyle. 

The Ski Lodge was born over 20 years ago from a genuine passion for skiing during the popular explosion of action and outdoor sports !  As the original independent snowsports store, we offered the infamous 'cutting-edge' one-piece suit that matched the mullet of the 80's and the superhero 2 metre extra long planks !  Fortunately fashions change almost as quickly as conditions in the mountains.

The Ski Lodge had opened quietly in 1986 but grew and developed consistently during the 1990's turning into a thriving business that soon became known throughout Wales.  By 2004 The Ski Lodge had outgrown its existing space and the first plans were laid for expanding the scope of the store. Work eventually started in January 2005 and the new extension took shape. During September 2005 The Ski Lodge finally moved out of the existing shell that had been its home for almost two decades and it is now housed in a much larger building on the original site.  Boasting 5,500 sq ft purely dedicated to ski & snowboard, a new and exciting retail environment was created that is designed to reflect the snowsports lifestyle. 

The passion and values that The Ski Lodge was founded upon are as strong as ever. Twenty years in, The Ski Lodge continues to grow and develop. The rest of the story starts here ...
